Newbie from Southern Ontario

Hi all. I've been lurking for a couple weeks now and finally decided to pull the trigger on a "real" hammock. I have a HH Expedition Asym side zip on the way.

I do quite a bit of solo canoe tripping, and a Hammock will open up a bunch of lakes to me that previously I wouldn't paddle due to a lack of suitable tent spots. I can't wait for the hammock to arrive. The start of another addiction is always fun! This is an excellent forum, seems like a very friendly, helpful bunch. I'm glad to be part of it.

Good to see another member in the Ontario Hammock Hangers Association. Our growth rate is quite rapid these last several months.

A Whooooo Buddy Welcome! I was in Ontario today and yesterday. Quebec presently .... visiting my daughter.
I discovered a new wonderful delight that is now right up there with Coffee Crisps .... Tiger Tiger ice cream!!!!! Orange and licorice. OUTSTANDING.
We do not have either in the States.

Hi Blair,

Good to see you here on HF. I've used my HH on many canoe trips and you will not have any trouble finding good trees for hanging.

I'm from Kitchener. I paddle the Grand River a great deal, as the smallmouth fishing is fantastic. While it's a beautiful river, there a very few spots to camp.
There are quite a few mid river islands that are too lumpy tent.

Shug....why didn't you take some of that ice cream home with you?
