The answer to a one tree yard

I'm finally able to hang fast and easy in my yard. I sunk a 2" galvanized pipe in concrete three feet into the ground. Now I can set up in minutes compared to the old way with a ladder. Looks simple, well it really was quite a bit of work. Not wanting to have a random pole sticking out of the ground I dug a new flower bed to put it in. So now I have two new awesome additions to the yard. Oh yeah, another cool thing about it is that my Dad is going to make yet another birdhouse (his hobby) which will be put up on the pole. So I guess it's three new things I've gained. Now the only problem I'll have is bird poop on my hammock

With the ladder set-up I didn't want to swing to much . So who here has invented the auto-swing? That would be sweet

Just get a length of light line, tie one end to a stake in the ground or something heavy, and throw the line over the hammock. When you get in, lay the line over your chest. To swing, just tug lightly on the line.

Back when I used to backpack, I used my canteen as a weight. I could toss it the shade where it would stay cooler and use it to swing with, and when I got thirsty, I could just reel it in without having to get up.
