    MLD UL Hammock Tarp

Anyone own this? Does it offer enough coverage?
    Thanks.

I think it is the same size as the Hennessy tarp. I've used one for years just fine. I've started to go with some larger tarps myself though.

I've got one. Used it extensively on the AT section hike NJ and NY last Sept/October. Perfect coverage over a Warbonnet Blackbird. I also used the prototype GrizBeak on that hike as well and recommend at least one beak with that tarp.
MLDs stuff is pricey but well made. I think quick service considering its cottage. I haven't used that tarp since preferring spinnUL to cuben but I am on the waiting list for one of Rons cuben poncho/tarps....at 3.9 ounces I'm thinking it might be the rain gear of choice couple with the cuben chaps which I used on the section hike last month.

Where do you get the beaks? I saw the picture of it in your profile, looks neat!

They're pretty tough to find considering the US' trade embargo.

When Ron at MLD was considering making the Spectralite (cuben) tarp for hammocking he asked for sizing and design opinions here on HF. The final design was from the suggestions made by members here.

Are you talking about this one? http://www.mountainlaureldesigns.com...products_id=59

Or the $90 one linked in the original post?

You're right. I was talking about the original one. Although they are almost identical lengths, 126" vs 127", they are not the same design or coverage.
