tarp suspension: ridgeline above, with prussiks

Apologies if this has been asked and answered elsewhere, but I don't have time to search (I'm at work). I'm wondering if there's any advantage to having the ridgeline pass through the loop in the middle of the tarp (it's a jrb 8x8). Has anyone tried it both ways?

Attaching the loop in the middle of the tarp to the ridge line over the tarp provides more support for the tarp and keeps the middle from bellying down and crowding you.

You can pass the ridge line through the loop or just use a mini-biner. We've been doing this for a long time now.

I like passing the ridgeline through the center loop since it is easier to sort things out when pitching the tarp.

Thanks, I'll try it. The tarp ridgeline isn't sagging now, so I don't expect to see a huge difference.
