My son is 10, and growing like a weed, BUT for now we can hang both of our hammocks under one tarp.

I simply hang his hammock above mine.

I am sure there would be some added difficulty with grown folks, but for now its working for us.

Ive got the Neo gear guide 9x9 square tarp, and I can get it pretty low and tight over us with this setup, been dry in all but the windiest of rains so far in our backyard testings.

i'd be afraid that the grey tarp would collect & direct rain water right to the edge of the other hammock.
matter a fact, i could pretty much guarantee it my friend<g>.
Yes we have... Several times at the same spot. The point where the two tarps overlap is actually a good 20 degree slope down with the upper tarp running water onto the lower tarp on the downhill side. Also. to facilitate water removal, the head end of the tarps are about 30 degrees lower than the foot ends. BTW. Tarps are homemade and rather large. (12x12 cat cuts) We both (and the dog) stayed dry. We made sure that we had a good slope both times.

i see... the bottom tarp runs the water off toward the tree.
i guess that's just one of those optical illusions that cause me to see things at slightly different angles from what they are

    Cool

My wife was actually standing on a slight incline when she took the picture. Next time we are up there I will try and take a non-illusion level shot for you.

Hammocks are level. Footend of tarps raised quite a bit... If you look, you can actullcy see legs in the background and see that the head end of the tarps are quite low.

It works. In fact I looked back in my log and found that this pic was taken after a rain earlier in the day.
