Looks great. Good thinking planning ahead to have a third hammock hanging spot for the spouse or the next child.

Hopefully the fire ring won't cause any problems with flying sparks hitting nylon.

The third spot is for my wife. The fire ring is kinda close but it is deep so a small fire would be ok. I cut off the bottom of a 55 gallon drum and buried half the remaining two thirds. The inside is below ground level.

I'd reccomend putting them in atleast 3ft. I only went 2 and although they hold they could use more support. I'm gonna run metal pipe between then at the top when I get a chance.

the more weight you plan on hanging off them the deeper and wider you want the holes....

3 feet deep by 2 feet wide should be just right...but over time they will work there way free...

the pole idea is the way to go...run a pole along the top to help displace the weight
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
