This is our 3rd Hammock Camping trip this year and the 1st time we camped at Dogwood (near Lake Arrowhead).
When we 1st arrived we were very disappointed as we had selected the only site that had 1 tree in it. The site was huge but only had a single, average size oak tree. We were about to go home when we decided to have lunch and walk around a bit. We walked out to the tree line (about 200 yards from the site) and up a small hill and found a very nice shaded tree lined area. At this point we decided to try and make the best of the trip and stay in this location, all the time looking over our shoulder for the Park Ranger to come and ask us to leave because we were not in our designated campground.
No one bothered us and it turned out to be our best trip yet. We have another trip slated for August but are going to try and get out sooner. So we will see.
Thanks for watching!
