    Very nice vid, Opie!

So now I have a 4 inch soft utility shackle...after wrapping round for prussic it'll be < 3 inch

What would be the in the marked distances for each inch increase 3in utility shackle.
    This is a 4 inch.
    Making markings to make a 5 in, a 6 in, a 7 in, etc??????
Just hit and miss or is this a math formula.....?????

    Very nice, Opie. Thanks

I was needing a project to play with my left over amsteel. I tried to make a prusik to no avail. I will try this design. I like it.

If you want to increase the end to end by 1", increase your starting length by 2".

If 12" starting leaves you with a 4" end to end prusik, then 14" will leave you a 5" end to end.

Bravo! It's folks like you that freely share their knowledge and talent freely. That helps to make this the best forum on the web. You modestly say that no thanks are needed. But please accept mine and I truly believe that you deserve it.

Thank you Opie, now if only i knew where cranky bear put his splicing tool and his amsteel, i could impress him when he gets home tomorrow. Off to search. lol

i found stuff after searching, but some part of me thinks maybe i should call and ask him first....lol i don't know what he has planned for this.

I should mention that these are not to be used to your suspension. EVEN if you make them from Amsteel. The stopper knot will not hold you up.

These are merely for tarp lines and guy lines. Or small utility biners that dont weigh anything.
