Maybe WBG would send you one for a test hang on the basis that if you didnt like it you could send it back? lots of the (US) guys seem to love them, and the only reason I didnt buy one (I'm in the NW UK) was that due to the winds we have here I wanted a storm shelter built in so I bought a Clark NX250 which I absolutely love.

If you know anyone going to the US you could always have one shipped to where they're staying and they could bring it back to avoid the import duty - I got spanked for VAT and duty on the clark to the tune of about 120 quid.

    HI PAUL -

I have had a BLACKBIRD in dual layer 1.7oz in olive green for some time now and cant be happier .
I am over 6foot and 16 1/2 stone , so I am a big lump and even I fit into the BLACKBIRD with room to rumble around at night with plenty of head space .
I am in London and if you look at my videos on the Warbonnet blackbird you will see that you will have plenty of room if you pitch it properly with the wings pulled out and pegged up .

I was also a victim of the dreaded CUSTOMS + VAT man bringing the price up to quite a substantial cost when I factered in the price of the CLAYTOR DIAMOND FLY SHEET , which is not as large or light as the Warbonnet fly sheets , but a lot cheaper , and if the weather report says it is going to be torrential rain ,I would postpone the trip , simple .

Alltogether with the BLACKBIRD hammock and FIN`S custom top cover and the CLAYTOR DIAMOND FLY SHEET , IT COMPRESSES DOWN TO THE SIZE OF A LOAF OF BREAD , not to bad considering what it gives you .
