    Looking for best buckle option...

So, I have a HH scout. I have cinch buckles, and i love the set up, the one thing i am not loving is the fact that it seems that i need to do one of 2 things. get different buckles or wider tree straps. I don't really want to go with wider tree straps. I like the buckle idea but the ones i have, i seem to be really good at pinching my fingers and the strap has tooo much room to move around in that buckle so i am afraid of destroying the strap and ending up on my rump on the ground.
Cranky Bear is biased and loves his whoopie sling, and when i ask him about the buckles he gets all long winded about all of the options i could go with this.
So i thought i would ask here, what are your suggestions. personally the whoopie sling is cool, i am just not ready to head in that direction yet. Plus the scout will be handed down to my oldest daughter once we get another adult size hammock.
here is a picture of my buckles, and even here it doesn't look like it's straight really with the webbing going through there. are there better buckles and about how much do they cost? can i just take these off and swap them for new ones or is this going to require new suspension?
thank you all in advance for your help.

AHE carries a nice cinch buckle, that'd be my choice. Specifically designed for hammocking.

I think those are the best buckles out there...all they need to be perfect is 1.25" webbing, which so far, I've not found.

The newer Warbonnet/AHE buckles are smaller, lighter, and made for 1" webbing. That's the good news. The bad news? They require a minor amount of suspension mod (AHE can help with this), and they are not, imo, quite as smooth in operation as your current buckles.

Arrowhead has those cool triangle rings, I would think they would fit the bill.

Edit; I need to type faster, got beat by 2 people.

I have the AHE CB's and the original 1" CB's from onrope1.com. Of the two types I like the the AHE CB's. They fit a 1" strap perfectly and are IMHO very easy to use. I have the AHE's on two hammocks and in the future I will be placing them on every hammock from here on out that I have in the future!!!!!!!!!
