I've used a DLX with a down UQ on a really windy rainy night where the wind changed 90 degrees and blew down the length of my tarp. The UQ got a tad damp but I just shook the droplets off of it and it was fine. I hang my pack at the head of my hammock and I want a griz beak to keep it dry. Where a griz beak is worth it's weight in gold is on a windy night when you are at the lower edge of your setup warmthwise. A Macat DLX is a big tarp, nobody thought they needed anything bigger until they started trying to hang in ever colder conditions.
