Arrowhead Equipment New River UQ question

I just returned from a nice two night hang with my NX-250. Night temps are still getting down to just barely above freezing at night. The UQ does the job totally with some of my clothes in the underpockets as well. No pad underneath me. I'm still wrestling with an old Eddie Bower down mummy bag in the hammock. I still haven't worked up the nerve to sleep on the bare hammock and just use the bag for on overquilt. At any rate, my do any of you use this UQ? I am having a little trouble getting the ends to close up tight enough to prevent my legs from getting a little tool. I have a little gaposis (of course it's a word, you see it written right here don't you?) on both ends. I hooked the little carabiner on the suspension shock cord right to my whoopie sling where it leaves the hammock. Then I cinched up the end closure shock cords pretty tight. I still have that gap and a tendency for the quilt to want to droop down at the ends. Any fixes from you more experienced hangers?

I wonder if what you put in the pockets is keeping he quilt farther away from the hammock and causing a gap? It seems to me pockets are an either/or with UQ usage but together you get too much space between the quilt and you to heat up.

grip clips and shock cord might be the answer otherwise.

Not personally familiar with a Clark, but I own the first "New river" so may be able to help.
I added adjustability to the shock cords, allowing me to tighten up the UQ sag as needed; A cord lock on one end of each shock cord does the job. Be sure to tie a knot in the end of the cord to keep the cord lock from sliding off.
Do you have a ridgeline on the hammock? If so, a elastic cord over the ridgeline at each end of the UQ can also go a long way towards reducing "gaposis".
I have found with all of my UQs that adjusting the closure at each end is, , , , , tedious. A few inches either way can mean a cold night. But get it right, & you will have a happy night. OH! Hey, that rhymes.
