    Alaska May 2010

Admittedly, it was not a hammocking trip as the location for sleeping was wherever we parked the RV. But the hammock did make the journey and even got pulled out for a relaxing afternoon in Denali at Teklanika River campgrounds (generic evidence below). But I had mentioned the trip enough times on the forum that I though I would post a link to travel pictures.

Overall the trip was (in order) Anchorage->Denali->Fairbanks->Valdez->Homer (briefly)->Seward->Anchorage over a 12 day period with a couple of nights spent on pullouts along the highways.

Just amazing scenery and HIGHLY rated for anyone who loves the outdoors.

I finally pared down the 1900+ photos to 95 that are located here:

    Bonus pics for Gargoyle:

Bushbuddy first use in Alaska (note to JustJeff--after daily uses on the trip, the silicone on the handles is still in good shape. No melting.)
Clouds coming in, Teklanika River, Denali
    Horsetail waterfall, near Valdez
    Rain in Denali

We can't wait to go again. So much to see...

Looking though the pics again, I have probably a dozen just of this one sea otter...something about him reminds me of Shug, content just doing his thing.

An extra for Sh-otter. This 'little' guy was just mindin' his own business despite the boat sidling up a few feet from him. Concentrating on the task at hand (eating) with nary a concern for having an audience. Would of thought he was on the payroll of the tour company. And wouldn't have been surprised if he started juggling...
