As a fairly new member and owner of the SBPro, I can chime in a bit. I swapped out the s-hooks for aluminum descender rings found at REI. I just kept the stock cordage that passes throught the sewn channel and did a simple larks head on the rings (didn't have to untie it that way). Then I bought 30' of the heavyweight polypro webbing from strapworks (in OD green to color match ) and attached that to two lightweight climbing caribiners also from REI. This is working out well for me. It's sooooo simple to setup and more importantly, to me anway, simple to adjust on the fly. Granted, I have yet to hang on an actual backpacking trip, but I've taken many a naps and used it as my reading room.
