Proper bury length and milked all the way, equal amounts of strands on each side of the brummel, a good taper in the bury.
1. I added an overhand knot that sits in the loop as it is minimized when the cord is buried back into itself. This made it easier to pull the loop open without reducing its ability to grab the stopper.
2. I buried the cord back along it's entire length, then tied a simple figure-8 knot on the double thickness as the stopper.
