Hi, everyone.
I am a new member of the Hammock Forum, but I'm not a new hammock enthusiast. Five years ago, I listened to a presentation at a paddlefest in Old Forge, NY by David Yost. He had a display of various hammocks and was speaking about their advantages over tents. I was a skeptic, but I decided to try it out. Ed Speer's book was an inspiration. I bought an ENO hammock with all the trimmings. It was okay. Always looking for improvement, I bought a Hennessy. Wow; What a difference! Web searches pointed to Clark. I bought their ultralight... North American (sold it to buy)... a NX-150. There is nothing that I've seen that's better.
I kayak, canoe, and backpack in the Adirondacks and Algonquin Park in Canada. I cannot imagine returning to a tent!
