“Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens. They fall when the wise are banished from the public councils because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded because they flatter the people, in order to betray them.” ~Judge Joseph Story

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
I use a Blackbishop Bag that has my hammock, underquilt and top quilt all in the same bag. Setup is very simple b/c it's all connected and easy to pack/unpack. I might change this a bit so I can set up the hammock for quick lunch stops w/o worrying about my quilts getting dirty, sweaty or wet. Will probably vary it by trip...
I like that idea everything in one sack. Time to bust out the machine and make a bishop bag!
I did some tests...folded tarp takes up less room for me versus rolled or squished. ymmv
Ambulo tua ambulo.
For me the hammock, under quilt and top quilt all go in a bishop style stuff sack. My tarp is furled with 4 small homemade bungees then flaked inside a bishop style stuff sack that goes in the top of the pack.

Tarp is furled and stuffed in stuff sack. The stuff sack is just used to make a handier bundle.
Bridge Hammock is folded, then rolled and wrapped with a Velcro cable tie.
Both are kept on the outside of the pack so room in the pack is a non-issue.
i just stuff everything in one big stuffsack....this way it's easy to find...if they call for rain i can pull the tarp out and put it in my back pocket of my pack so i can set it up fast......
less stuffsacks=less weight
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
But Jeff ... Didn't I read some where in the posts that Dutch is the world's greatest hiker? Sure it might have been one of Dutch's posts but you still want to set your standards that high? Especially since you can't grow a beard in your current job? It's too much to hope for
WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.

"He almost broke the land speed record in 1977, popular opinion among his team was that is beard caused to much wind resistance. He would have shaved it… No, no he wouldn’t have"
