Just back from my hang in the White Mountains of NH. AWESOME trip! Found some great spots to fly fish; chased a small bear away; made some wild rabbit stew (YUM!), did a bit of hiking, and generally got to test a few new things out.
I stayed one night stealth camping while fishing the East Branch of the Pemigewasitt River, and two nights in a hammock-friendly campground - the Lost River Valley Campground in North Woodstock, NH, - right on the Cancamagus Highway.
Biblical rains for 6 hours the second night there, and I stayed dry and comfy - although I do seem to have a seam leak (?) around the velcro opening of the HH. Need to test that.
I tried using a couple of pieces of PVC piping I had laying around to make Marlin Spike Hitches ...worked GREAT! I will be using some smaller diameter ones n the future, and adding some pull cords to them, I think.
I will try to figure-out how to put pics in a message now ....
