Alright, it is time for me to make my tarp for warm weather rain protection for my GF and I's hammocks. I have been digging through threads here, and can't seem to really find out the most preferred dimensions or plans?? Help and advice much appreciated. Thanks.
For ease of setup in low / moderate wind and warmish weather I love a relatively small cat-cut diamond.
In colder weather or driving winds / heavy rains you will want something that can either go level to the ground or even burrito / enclose you a bit more.
There are many others here who know a lot more than I and I'm sure they will chime in

Mine is the fly made by Mosquito Hammock.
It is 13 feet long x 10 feet wide and cat cut somewhere around 8 or so inches at the center of each curve.
The 12 x 12 is my cold weather tarp and those dimensions are looking at it as a square. The dimensions of the diamond are the max dimensions. Diagram to follow shortly.
EDIT:
The Noah 12x12 is actually almost 17 feet long x 17 feet long if measured as a diamond... massive tarp. The 13x10 diamond is small in comparison (below)

For most 10' gathered end hammocks, in the summer, I like a 11x9 hex. Room to cook (or socialize) under if raining.

Rather fond of my 10x12 ... 12 on the ridge line ... from Equinox. But I do have a DIY that's 10x9 ... 10 on the ridgeline. Would have been longer but I made a DIY boo-boo

the size of my tarp depends on the season ......
Maccat deluxe is what 'm using now...
i do plan on making a few tarps soon .....just havn't gotten around to it yet
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
I prefer an 11’ cat cut ridgeline no matter how long the sides are…
