Hi Guys,
Long time lurker, first time poster. My bud g0bez has gotten me all excited about making my own hammock and tarp. We have a long history on debating tent vs hammock camping. Recently during an overnight kayak trip down a local river, I decided that sleeping on rocks in the middle of a river isn't the most comfortable thing to do. After talking with g0bez about his kayaking trip this fall and hearing that he's going to be hammock camping, I've decided to give making my own a shot.
I have lots of resources from this website on materials and such (thanks to everyone who has shared their knowledge on everything hammocks). I did however find some camouflage 100% nylon material on sale at hancock fabrics.

$2.00 a yard
Has anyone had experience with this material? I doesn't say that it is Rip-Stop worthy. I would assume that it isn't. Would it be strong enough to use a single layer as a hammock or would I have to double it? At $2/yard I don't think I can go wrong?
Thanks!
