Suspension Confusion/ Simplicity

Hi All,
Ever since I discovered cinch buckles, I've tuned out from the suspension side of hammocks. Now I've trying to wrap my head around whoopie slings, toggles, descender rings, tree huggers etc.

I've been reading about it all for a while and it still seems very confusing.
As much work to set up as my old hennessy/ tree hugger rig.

Could you just have the loop of a whoopie sling running through a loop on a tree hugger, then attach the tree hugger to itself using a sutch clip. Seems this way everything would still be connected, with no extra bits and pieces. Is this doable?

Please help me clear my confusion!

That's what the whoopie all-in-one suspension is, just w/o specifying the DC. Basically what I used on my last trip.

You can also use that set-up with the MSH.....
