    Equinox 10x12 actual weight?

    Hello all,
I've seen tons of different listed weights for this tarp. Has anyone actually weighted this guy? (the campmor tarp)

    Thanks,
    Earplug

Thanks so much for the response. This is for the 10x12 and not the 8x10? Wow- that is a good weight for that size.

That's the sil Equinox ... they also make a coated one which is heavier but cheaper. Every once in a while Campmor has them on sale though.

Thanks for the response. Yeah- I have the 8x10 also. It's a great tarp and mine weighs in around 16 oz's also. I bet the 10x12 is around 21 oz's. They say- 18oz's. But, I just don't see how that is possible.

Here is a crop from a photo I did when I was weighing various gear.

The Summer tarp is an Equinox 8x10 with 550 cords, about four niteeze and a mesh bag ... and it's weight

The Winter tarp is an Equinox 10x12 with 550 cords, HH snake skin, about four niteeze, mesh bag and 550 cord tie outs ... and it's weight.

Not a clean tarp weight but should help.
