    Arrow Whats your favorite carabiner

Hey all so I want to up grade the carabiners in my set up and not sure what to go with or if it even matters. I was thinking about C.A.M.P. USA Nano 23 Wiregate. I found them at REI for like 6 or 7 bucks each. What do you think?? I honestly dont know anything about them.

The Nano 23 is a great biner for hanging hammocks, etc. Super light yet rated for climbing. Got a pile of them.

Thanks Knotty. I was lloking to hear if anyone was using them. I hear climber complain that they are a bit small. Considering how I've never seen one I was'nt sure how small. I REI has them for sale. Do you know where I could get them cheaper??

I don't even know the brand I use but as long as they are smaller and climbing rated I'll use them.

Nano 23's are the lightest climbing biners I have found ... BUT ... I've now discovered Dutch Clips that will hang your hammock even easier and at half the weight. (See JacksRBetter).

My nano 23's have served me well for several years. They've been relegated to the guest hammock now though since I started using Dutch Clips. Less fiddle factor, lighter, and less bulky.

I'm guessing this will happen to me once my Dutch clips arrive.
To the OP here are the Dutch clips.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the nacrbiners yet.

For hammock use, a climbing biner is way overkill and way heavier than a nacrabiner made from 1/8", 7/64" or 2 mm dyneema.

The climbing wire biners are slightly easier to use though.
