very nice work Hawk-eye! I've whacked logs across trails in the heat of the summer...that's hard work y'all did. Good trail citizens.

Great editing...I really liked the second soundtrack, with the gitar pickin' and thumpin. What / who is that?

Like my pal Ken said ... it's really not work when ya got good friends there with ya. Lots of chatter and laughs along the way. Makes being in the gorge even more special than it is.

The music ... both songs are from the sound track of my favorite movie ... "Jeremiah Johnson" ... The first is "Swan" and the second is "A mighty enemy". I love the music.

Hawk-Eye,

Great video and great work from you, Ken & Jim. That blowdown was something - it crossed the trail above and again below a switchback (you can see it from the turn of the switchback late in the video after it is cleared). Here's a picture from Tuesday, June 22 (less than 2 weeks ago) of my son about 80% of the way through the lower section. After negotiating the blowdown both ways (on the lower, then the upper part of the switchback) we noticed a walk-around that would have let us avoid it all together. I'll look closer next time!

Sorry we couldn't have cleared it earlier ... and I still don't know how you guys got through it with packs on!!!!

... and yeah it was a bit cooler than your time through there. But a sweat was worked up in the process!

Those logs fell to the almighty Pulaski blows from Ken and Jim ... in fairly short order!

Well HB and RF ... you guys have been a pleasure to get to meet and spend time with in the Big Ditch. I'm looking forward to more hang time with you fellow Gorge Rats ... ya know we don't have to have an official Hang to meet in the ditch!

Glad you guys liked the video. See ya in the fall and definitely looking forward to cooler fall weather though!!!!!

Yeah that's one sweet camp site ... you'd love it. Close enough to carry one's pie irons in too!
