In these pictures you can see both of the hammock bodies are made. One has the "wings" rolled up. Also the webbing and buckles are attached to the top. That will be the top straps and where the load lifters connect. Also I completed the backpad for the pack. It will eventually hold the shoulder straps.

I really like the way you moved the spreader bar at the head end further up towards the shoulders. This must help with the "shoulder squeeze" issue that has been reported on bridges.

You must be looking at the first version. I had made that version so you could put the spreader bar at the shoulder or the end. At the time bridge hammock making was in its infantcy (now it is a toddler). Some people were experimenting with that design and I adopted it. Since then Grizz and some other pioneers really profected the pole length to fabric length ratio. The new BSIII will have the pole on the pole on the end. The amount of shoulder sqeeeze is never zero but I find that with the pole length being 70% of the fabric length it is not bothersome. The problem with the pole at the shoulder is if you get up all of a sudden you will hit your head. You also had to scoot under when you lay down.

I don't get many hours to work on this every week, I have quite a bit of work ahead of me. When they are done, the may hold some kind of world record for having the most stiches on one project. I still have to attach the back panel, all the side straps, end caps, inside pocket, and make a suspension.

i have lots of gear i will never sell and a BS would be one of them...

i havn't found the right hammock for me thats why i try them and sell them...if i'm not going to use them...why keep them

I have them done to the point that they are able to work as both a pack and a hammock. The one shot is of the pack in a hammock and the pic with all the straps on top is really the hammock turned around. I still have to put on endcaps, modify the hipbelts, and the rear mesh pocket.
