    alittle update on the mod....

well i undid the ends of the whoopies to remove the rings...
going to cut the rings off tomorrow when i get a chance...
and i made carbon fiber inserts for the spreader bars out of a arrow shaft
that will slip over the zing it ...this way the zing it won't get a ripped up by the spreader bars ....

soon as i get it done...i'll post some pics...

oh yeah i thin i'm going to take 10 inch off the spreader bar for the foot end
    not sure yet

Just got the total weight.. 29.7oz without a bugnet...
    hammock,spreader bars,tree straps,stuffsack
with bug net add anothing 5oz so total weight with full bugnet is 34.7oz

maybe i'll make the 1/3 bugnet and cut off another 4oz....not sure yet
i also could cut down the spreader bar at the foot end to knock off another oz but i really don't want to...i'm not sure if i'm keeping this hammock yet or not.....

so far at my weight there has been no problems with anything (218lbs)
i even bounced around alittle in the hammock and no snapping or cracking...and i didn't end up on the ground ...so i think it should be good to go ..........
