I really like the nature of this forum and appreciate the work done by the mods to keep this forum the way it is. While I did try to refer someone to HF on youtube (that I disagreed with) I in no way tried to make HF look bad. Because I can sometimes lack tact I will refrain from this behavior in the future just to be safe. I would never want to smear the good name of HF intentionally or otherwise.

Hear Hear.... or is it Here Here... Or there their....

None the less, thank you, Jeff and the other Mods for this site. This site is a bottomless vessel of knowledge and experience that all who enter here can gain from.

I am trying to give more than I take but it is just that there is so much here to take away and use... I enjoy this site and learn more each day.

Thank you to all the contributors and the respectfulness that I have experienced in the past. I have asked some "there-are-no-such-thing-as-dumb-questions" questions and have been answered with respect, honesty, and sincerity. For that I am thankful.

Keep up a great forum and community for us to learn from, make new friends at, and better the world.

Just think how much world peace could be achieved if we all slept in hammocks..... OOOOOOH WORLD DOMINATION... I LIKE IT!!!! (evil laugh)

Oh sorry that's another plan for later...

    Have a nice day.

There is so much to read on this site, I'm 4 days late getting to this one.
Very well said Jeff, and at the risk of being redundant, I really appreciate the effort you guys put into this site to make it, and keep it, what it is.

Just returned from a hanging trip on the AT and I'll add my "THREE CHEERS, HIP, HIP, HOORAY!" for the mods. They do an amazing job keeping HF a congenial place to visit.

One of the best things about this site (other than the vast amount of information, and the feeble attemps at humor) is that there is none of the usuall self inflating egos and neanderthal chest-beating that can be found on other forums. I too wish to thank the mods, as well as the members themselves, for not allowing threads to degrade into this type of nonsense. It is one of the prime reasons that I return here on a daily basis (my wife says I'm addicted, but she just doesn't understand).
I'm so out of shape ......I passed gas yesterday and pulled a muscle!

i've been a member for only a lil while but am amazed at the exchange of ideas. some things work for some and others dont and hey, thats ok. as hikers and hangers, we all know that its all about our journey and not the destination. i did see a flaming banter and was shocked! thanx for the reminder. where else would i get the mantra "hang ze whoopie from ze knot, not from ze toggle"
