Ambulo tua ambulo.
I have mine layed out on the bed in the guest bed room.
My guest some times give me a funny look of hugh you expect me to sleep in a sleeping bag
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
The cheapest "king size" pillow case I can find at Walmart for most TQ and UQ's.
For full size, winter weight quilts or sleeping bags or pea pods, just get two pillow cases and rip out the seams and then sew them together into a "super size" pillow case.
I sort of like the idea of pillow cases over mesh bags because I'm afraid the mesh bags would allow dust to settle on the quilts. That's just my opinion. I always lay my quilts flat for a day to air them out after a trip, before putting them away.
I just gently stuff them into the pillow cases.
I do the same as most of the replies here, using a old large pillow case tied some string around it and have it hanging in my closet (UQ and TQ in separate bags)!
I use large fall leaf-bags. They are clear plastic (so I know which one to grab), and very big so the quilts don't get compressed (much) while in storage.
I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
I use Linux.
I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!
Rug.
Hang On!
Rug..... It's my understanding that quilts need to breathe , so garbage bags aren't a good choice. I've heard people use tupperware containers but drill holes in the top and sides.
I bought the large cotton laundry bags from wallyworld. You can also make your own mesh bag out of no-see-um netting or buy some of that $1 fabric from wallyworld. I like to use the breathable fabric, nothing wateresistent.
