    I've made several cozies with the aluminum tape but switched recently to regular packing tape. I use lots of tape and the aluminum tape was ending up heavier than the reflectix. The packing tape is plenty tough.

    Don't know what you call it but try tape used to seal AC ductwork. Its silver in color,pretty tough,thin like packing tape and very sticky. Its different than the alum tape that you peal away the film covering the adhesive.
