    snake skins are patented by Hennessy (I think... correct me if I'm wrong) but of course, anyone can make them (or some deviation of design) non-commercially. A hammock (or tarp etc) "skinned" looks a lot like a snake suspended between two trees.

    Also known as python skins (bigger ones, for underquilt stuffing), hammock tubes etc.
