I didn't realize the Hennessys were selling hammocks without bugnets. That's good to know! Wonder if they still have a bottom slit; that would be funny.

I think it would still be convenient for people who have a hard time getting in and out of a top entry hammock...much more controlled to sit and lay back for someone with a weak back, for example.

I didn't realize they were selling them, either...good call, though. The non-removable bug net is the most common critique I hear of the HH.

I own one of the purple clearance hammocks. I bought it for my daughter after I bought my hyperlight. Imagine my surprise when I weighed the two and found that the purple ULB is lighter than the hyperlight. I don't know if all of them are like that, but if you can live with the color, they are a great deal. Most of us are going to have some sort of undercover on them anyway.

Didn't even think about that; you're right.

That light racer is tempting. Just say no! If they had a netless version of the hyperlight, ahhhhhhh...

The netless ultralight is beckoning. I already made one for myself, I need to just keep saying that.

    I hear you. My mantra

I don't need a netless Safari. I don't need a netless Safari. My still-unopened ENO double can surely do all that the Safari can. I don't need a netless Safari. ....

these chants usually don't work. But I'm trying.

I think I would end up just dissecting it, so that I could work out some issues with my clone. For some reason I end up sleeping on the very edge of my hammock every time I use it, but my wife's clone does not have that issue. Not what I did differently.

Well then, for a science experiment, that's different. Increasing the global store of knowledge. Bringing hammock engineering to new highs. By all means, for the sake of science, have at it.

    (I'm not helping am I?)

    Oh dear...
A netless Safari at $89 is tempting.
I wonder if they'd sell it without the fly?
Then it would be irresistibly tempting...
Crap, I'm shooting them an email if they'll drop the fly
