The only thing that is stopping me is my wife not liking it.

    oops, I called them..
They are checking to see if they can drop the fly and price.
I'm sure the wife would just think I made it
    yea that's it...
They are going to email me and I'll pass along the info (even told them I would).
If you want the fly it's the hex they sell (and I have).
It's really a nice fly, but I already have one....

Ah, **** another one for the closet!
    Already ordered it....
    I'm ashamed at my weakness.
    Here's the email:
    "
    Hi,

I spoke with someone at the office and they said that it would be fine
    for
you to buy the hammock without the hex fly. If you just wanted to buy
    the
Safari bottom (with the mesh removed) and no Hex Fly, the price would
    be
    $40 per hammock bottom."

Domestic tranquility ought to trump science, at least hammock science.

Seriously that is difficult. The backpacker would be something like $20.

EDIT: Called them -- they told me that the one they have for sale, that is similar to the backpacker, is more like the expedition and so that would be too heavy for me.

    You guys STINK!

I can't believe I'm even considering another hammock. I do believe the primary fault lies with schrochem for actually getting the price list. $40 is crazy!

    I need therepy.

    Therapy needs.

Best therapy Cannibal is to order a HH, load up a pack and head to the high country.

Amazing what you can do when you don't know how.
