We're in for 2 pair.
Just got rid of the h/w in the suspension and the you go and put temptation in our path
Make that 2 pair on steel or 2 pair on Ti if the price isn't too high.

+1 pair.
+10 on the titaniums. Monogramed? Let me call my credit card company to check my limit, I'll get back to you.

1.5" Yes Please.
There is enough interest that I will get a small batch done and cover at least the needs of this thread. Don't expect the diamond studded trillium inlay with your trailname anytime soon.

Mac right now I am looking into making the 1.5 inch AL. I did price 1/8 ti sheet last night and it will be a future project to try Ti for 1 inch DC. Supposedly the waterjet cutter can cut Ti but he has never tried so I was going to get a small piece let him try. Then I have to get them sanded. That looks like a real chore. I'm guessing they would come in at the 5 to 7 gram range but the price will seperate the real gram weenies from the people who should give more to charity. I want to know if the waterjet cutter can cut ti because I have few ideas. New Ti buckle maybe. Maybe a Ti button that says "Vintage" so you can wear it proudly on your kilt.

Correct my original post to Al instead of steel.
But then I have a question. Wouldn't the Al clips be as light as or lighter than Ti?
I think Ti would be stronger (for the same thickness), but the Al are strong enough already.
So what is the real advantage of Ti here. Can the Ti ones be made with thinner material, thus reducing the weight? But then wouldn't you have to test the new Ti thickness to insure safety? Seems like Ti is a solution looking for a problem here.
All that is a good point and we got off track of trying to findout if there is interest in an AL 1.5 DC. I think Ti is less then Al but I would be reducing the size so overall there would be a greater weight savings. Currently the Al ones are only 12 grams so how much are you really going to save. The cost would be greatly increased for tiny weight savings. I would suggest if 12 grams is really too heavy for you then you have other options such as just tie rope to a hugger HH style (or just stay home gram weenie). However Ti has a coolness factor and I have some other applications so I want to know exactly what it will take to machine it.
