    C&O Canal?

I'm heading out tomorrow so I would appreciate some input from those who have hanged or camped out on the C&O. I think I will start out at Harper's Ferry or Williamsport and head west to Cumberland and maybe beyond.

Has anyone been to the bike store shelter in Hancock?
Which tent sites can you recommend or not recommend for hanging?
Any good spots to get lunch and dinner at? I want to eat out and stop in the towns, or is that a bad idea?
Is it shady or too sunny of a stretch?
I've parked at Harper's Ferry Visitor Center when backpacking but will they let me if I'm biking? Is parking for a few days at Williamsport OK?

    TIA

This trip is on my To-Do List so I have no first hand experience to share but if you haven't already found this site, there is a ton of helpful info on it

Check out my post on my trip. Definately not a good place to hang.
