A week away from a nice hang out sounds like everybody is getting ready. Looking forward to picking up a hammock soon thinking about making a trip to REI this weekend.
I'm eager to meet some new HF faces. I'm still hopeful my little sedan will make the trip.

I am leaning to buying a Hammock Bliss from Sportsmans. I have looked at them on the internet they are your basic hammock like an Eno and a good back up or spare for a friend or for the youngsters. I have been eying some really nice hammocks and gathering and compiling rough data so down the road I plan to buy a 3 to 4 season durable ultralight possibly camouflage hammock. As far as hardware well I will have to get this hammock and show it to Gnome and see if he thinks I am ok for the weekend. I am going to bring a backup shelter for myself I have several tents but my my one man tent is what I have in mind. In case of a sprinkle or what not I do not have a tarp for the hammock I have a place to run to.
i'd rather loan you a tarp then see you sleep on the ground my friend.
LOL! Look at that people will do anything to see a person hang... I mean be comfortable.

Thanks I hope to sleep in clear skies I will have to take into consideration the possibility for rain maybe though I'd rather not buy a Hennessy from REI. The reason I say this is from my understanding they are made outside the US. But it comes with a tarp I'd rather spend my money on something custom made.
Clark? A bit late to order it for this hike but there made in... Utah.. or Nevada? And they have a diverse selection to choose from. And If you buy a hammock from them they charge very little to add the tarp. I got the biggest one they make for thirty bucks and its fairly large. Just a thought...

Naturally as I just made the 2 whoopie slings for my new hammock tonight out of 7/64 Amsteel blue.
I will be hanging this weekend down in Yuma if anyone wants to drop by. I am off from now until Monday.
