yes, the rain made it very noisey, to noisey to sleep, but a fared better than these ground dwellers did.... the kids were screaming finally dad and mom bailed never did see them again thank you all for the kind words sorry no pics of the super tarp

I went through a storm, many moons ago, with similar results. Thankfully I had brought my weather radio with me and had enough time to get to a shelter before the storm hit. There was hail, high wind and flash flooding. I don't envy your experience. You sure do have a story to tell for quite a while.

Oh wow. I am glad you told us in the other post that no one was hurt. Had a big limb fall out of a tree on my last ground dwelling trip and it was sticking straight up in the ground 15 ft from the tent when I woke up the next morning. Scary stuff if you are in a tent or hammock I guess.

It would be just my luck to finally talk the whole family into camping together, only to have something like this scare them into never wanting to ever do it again. I only hope this family takes it as adventure and not the norm.
