I slept in my hammock that night too! I was down in Floyd, VA at FloydFest 9. Great bands, and saw tons of ENOs set up as loungers, and one Hennessy with the hex tarp, which busted a RL tieout in the winds. Saw quite a few tow strap tree huggers on the ENOs, so apparently word is getting around that there are alternatives to the Slap Straps.

Hope y'all had great weekends whatever you were doing!

Looks like a great time. Where did you set up, and how was the weather?

My camp was in the Center Woods, right near the front gate, wall to wall tents, except where the ground was too rough, which was right where I went! Hung from a 3" Rhododendron and a 7" Serviceberry with the big tarp in porch mode. Weather was beautiful, all things considered. Had one thunderstorm roll through, but otherwise, it was breezy and hot. Highs of 90-ish, and lows of 68 or 70. Breeze at night made it very bearable. I'm beginning to think that IX is a winter thing for me. Got pretty clammy in my DIY TQ. Granted, it's 2 layers of IX, and it was only maybe 65 with the breeze, so more testing is needed.
