I think those were homemade tarps. I recall one had some melting near the pipe, which may have killed the experimentation. Folks may be stumped on this one, which would explain the lack of responses.

It can be done if there is enough intrest. I advise not to use silcone nylon,
because when it burns it realy burns. A proper high temp insert for the pipe to pass through is no problem.

Ive seen some of those big tarptents with stoves in it... I think you can find them in Cabellas... big enough to fit a hammock on a stand!

jim i think one could be done...the stove they use is an army surplus i think...i know i seen them online really cheap (under a $100)

i think if you put a 4x4 piece of canvas were the pipe would come out and the rest Sil nylon...one thing i would worry about is a hot ember landing on the Sil...it will become a fireball in sec's

to be honest..for our winters jim it would be more of a pain then anything...a good down UQ and good TQ/sleeping bag mixed with a winter tarp will keep you plenty warm in PA
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

I hang in one of these...haven't added the woodstove, yet, but it's certainly doable.

Ya I know we don't get allot of cold spells but we did a few years back below zeros and plus I think it would be neat to have a tent and wood stove I hate when the weather keeps me from having fun Like tomorrow 100 degree and chance of thunder boomers and rain thru sunday am sort of put a damper on a overnight plan for tomorrow grr
