Just returned from the ADK High Peaks

Hi everyone, newbie here, btw I think this forum is a great source of info, thanks for shearing your experience.
I just returned from a backpacking trip into the High Peaks region of Upstate NY where I was able to try out my new Kelty 9 tarp. Great tarp! Used the info on the site to make a ridge line and it hung fast and easy. Thanks again.

I was a little cool at night and have been reading about top quilts and bottom quilts and was wondering how well do these pack up? My sleeping bag is rated for 30* and weights less than 2lbs, but this trip when the temps dropped at night to about 50* with a lite breeze, I seem to get cold spot under me.
I got up and put my space blanket under me and it seem to help some, but when I got up, my bag was wet from condensation.
I was carrying a 35lb pack back in about 6 miles, also it was full, so looking for some suggestions about how to get this done! Was the envy of the ground dwellers and have no intentions on going back!!!
