Was just on the Speers Hammock site checking for updates on the hang and saw the following:
Any ideas whats going on ? I hope the dates have not been changed as I have already put in for my vacation.NOTICE: the September Hang is being rescheduled.

They had the hang scheduled for the same weekend as dolly sods. They probably changed it when they noticed that so that people could attend both hangs if they wanted.Originally Posted by gunner76

Me too, I cleared that weekend with the wife too. I don't mind changing plans at work, but one of you all can tell the wife!

I've already got 4 people with schedules made for the original weekend. This is going to be a major problem.

I say keep the dates. That's 7 hours of driving one way, for me!
There are plenty of people in the area to still make it a great hang.

Why don't one of you that's planning to go, talk to Ed, then the camp ground & take over the organization of it?

I heard that Ed is working on a geological team somewhere in the mountains at high elevation, and won't be back in time to keep the original date.
