First Yooper Northern Canoe Hammock Hang- Interested?

Well I'm back after a 2 week canoe trip to the boundary waters (we were going to northern Ontario, but that's another story

). I've actually been back a week, but got right back into family life and work, and have not had time to catch-up on HF or post. An HF occasional peek from work has tempted me though.

I'm now in a place where I can start planning my next trip.
It sounds like we have some interested paddlers, so let's here it from ya'll.

I know Shug is busy on his "circus tour" until after Labor Day, but I thought he expressed some interest.

I was really bummed to miss the spring Northern Hang, I'm hoping for better luck with the fall gig!

So for those not privy to the PM's, maybe it would be good to flesh out some details?

For those who may be tentative due to lack of boat or even interest in the water, it would be worth mentioning any possibility of a hike-in option for those on foot?

I'm going to try to block off vacation time for that Friday and stay up until Sunday or Monday if I can pull off another vacation day. I have a coworker and his son who are very interested in this as well.

I will put it on my calender. I was actually planning a trip for around the same time frame in Sylvania as well. Not sure where I will camp, but would like to know where everyone else it. I would like to stop by and share some whiskey.

BTW - I have a 17' canoe and 3 kayaks if it comes down to someone needing water transportation.

Surprisingly little activity in this thread! Usually the Northern Hang threads are boomin'.

I can confirm myself, my friend and his son as being ready to go for this! All wives involved have been notified and have given the "all clear for take off". Our thoughts are to leave after work Thursday October 7th afternoon. Should be about a 5 hour drive up. We'll wing it for a place to sleep Thursday, and then meet up with the rest of the group on Friday October 8th...
At least that's the plan right now.
Eagerly awaiting the results of this thread to see if anyone else is going?
