Snakeskins for the Warbonnet Superfly with doors

I know there are a lot of questions concerning what size "skins" will work for the various sizes of tarps. I bought one of the War Bonnet Superflys with doors to use with my Clark NX-250 in the winter.I just completed a set of ripstop camo skins using the exact pattern from Just Jeff's site:

    http://www.tothewoods.net/HomemadeGearHammockTubes.html

They ended up a tad over 70" long. With the completed skins flattened out, the wide end measures about 5 1/2" and the narrow end about 1 3/4". I used a double rolled weam on the long side and just simple folded seams on the ends. The snakeskins fit perfectly, with the doors included. I just left the doors attached and I hooked the bungee cords on the doors all to the center ridge ring, rolled everything up and let the snakes eat everything. The skins are fairly full but not stuffed and the skins slide on easily. With the narrow end of the skins (the tails?) about even with the tarp end ridge rings on both ends, there is about a 4 inch overlap in the middle. Perfect fit in my book.

The same pattern works fine for the Clark Standard XL Rainfly as well. It is a little roomier with a little more overlap, but surprisingly not much!

Awesome! I was just looking on Jeff's page as I want to make my own skins to warm up for making my own tarp (with doors). So it sounds like it's a safe bet for me to start with Jeff's pattern.

Does any one know of a production set of snake skins that will fit the superfly? What about the ones sold on the hennesy site?

Maybe I'm confused but does the superfly have doors that are appart of the fly now or are they addon doors like in shugs vid? I was thinking that there was a new version that was all one big tarp, that's what the warbonnet site seems to indicate. Am I wrong?

    storage

Is it ok to store a tarp in snake skins? Provided that its dry. I don't wanna go for skins if I have to take them out when I get home. I don't forsee any problems but I figgured I would ask the experts

I'm very happy with the mesh storage sleeves I bought from Kat for my ENO ProFly: http://www.outdoortrailgear.com/cott...orage-sleeves/
You can ask her to make them for whatever tarp you have.
Of course, it must be very satisfying to make your own.

The superfly doors are part of the tarp now. I just received mine about 3 weeks ago.

The large hennessey skins do fit the superfly.

I used those until I purchased a mesh set from mountaingoat.

Made DIY "skins" from ripstop ACU similar to Just Jeff's pattern for all 3 of my tarps. I leave them on all the time but I make sure the tarp is dry before storing. One tarp is packed in the mesh pocket of my Catalyst with my WBBB - ready for instant travel, anytime, anywhere!
