It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
Formerly known as Acercanto, my trail name is MacGuyver to some, and Pucker Factor to others.
It's not procrastinating, its proactively delaying the implementation of the energy-intensive phase of the project until the enthusiasm factor is at its maximum effectiveness. - Randy Glasbergen
hehe. now my only worry is that the winter crowsnest will be too hot to use when i am out the most (b/t 60-30 degrees). someone please tell me that i will be fine using it and simply can rig the suspension to make it hang lower...
you should be fine....but down the line i would get a summer UQ ...
around 50-60 degrees you ae going to get really warm
so don't forget to vent
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
I'm a VERY happy camper today! My mailman delivered my new Burrow & 3-Season Crowsnest.
First off, I love the colors! If you're even remotely thinking about the coyote brown, jump on it! It's just as beautiful as the colors appear on their website. It's very overcast, drab day here today so everything looks sort of muted in these pictures, but in person - they're gorgeous.
Adam was very patient with me and my requests and he was actually able to shorten the Burrow for me as I'm only 5' tall. It's the perfect length! I had to leave the house about an hour after the mail was delivered, but I did get in the hammock with the Burrow and Crowsnest underneath. It's about 54 degrees here today, no wind, but very damp. I had the Crowsnest snug around the bottom (no venting) and got myself burrowed into the Burrow. After about 3 minutes I was peeling the Burrow down to my waist - it's VERY warm!
The 3/4 Crowsnest actually reaches from the top of my shoulders to just above my ankles, so in effect, it's full-length for me. If I were actually planning to hang in these temps I'm pretty sure I'd be venting the Crowsnest.
The workmanship is top-notch - really. I'm so happy I didn't attempt these myself! Sometimes it makes sense to save some $$$ when you DIY, but even though I've been a quilter for over 20 years, I'm pretty sure I could not have matched the fine workmanship Adam gives to his products.
For everyone that's asking about wait times, I would simply say get your order in the que. You will wait, but somethings you don't want rushed and this is one of those things. Just let the man do his thang!
