“Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens. They fall when the wise are banished from the public councils because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded because they flatter the people, in order to betray them.” ~Judge Joseph Story

That explains the laughter.

I've dug and weighed and compared. The smallest, lightest graphite/carbon fiber shafts I can find are slightly larger in OD than my scout arrows and are so close in weight I think I'll stick with the aluminum and not risk shatter. The smallest aluminum ones in the box were much larger than these aluminum scout arrows, and the scout arrows look like they are made to be cheap practice arrows for kids - so I doubt they would ever show up in a remnants box. The thing is I see them in the store, but I cannot find them listed on Easton's site or anywhere else on the internet.
You are correct. Good point to make clear.
That was several years ago when I was experimenting w/ another way to adjust the hammock suspension at the end of the hammock.
It worked but not great. It tended to go off center. And the point you made about putting the rope on the hammock cord & not the toggle is probably part of why it went off center & also why it bent the wal-mart knitting needle
I too will something make and joy in it's making
It took me forever to figure that out. I thought you guys had to be all smoking crack to trust your weight to a trail stick. I don't remember whose picture it was, but one day I saw a close-up that showed the amsteel snugged up on the webbing knot and the stick nowhere near the amsteel. To quote Shug, "the bell went boom".
