Yea the weather was awesome. Even the rain. We haven't had much of that in ol Greenwood SC lately.

Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Good times.
The lights that we could see looked like they were from a big city. They were off the back side, instead of taking the right turn as you reach the top we went left at first. that where we could see the lights. What town would that be?

Thanks for the video, and for keeping the itch going! I came within a "cat hair" of coming up Sunday, but decided against it for some dumb reason!

Looks like you guys had a great trip and were able to see a lot in a weekend.

Well now ... if you were on the west side of Hawksbill ... can't think of anything you could really see. If you were on the east side ... definitely the closest would be Morganton ... just a bit left of that and in the distance (60 miles or so ... Charlotte but I'd be surprised if you could have seen that Friday night. Further to the east and more north ... you have Lenoir and Hickory that if conditions were right you could see the lights from. But my guess is you were looking at Morganton.

I was doing my best not to die laughing while I was recording it. When we got to camp we watched it and laughed for a solid 15 minutes!
