I'm using a Pentax K7. It's heavily weatherized, so i never have to give a second thought about taking it out in extremely wet, or dusty conditions.

Check out this cheezy sales pitch.

I can verify it really is that water resistant. I have slipped and fallen in a lake with my K7....the camera was entirely unaffected. Although....i don't recommend doing this....since it is not rated for 100% submersion.

Nice hike, and in my neck of the woods. That thunder storm you saw in the east was right here in the Wenatchee area. The worst night of four straight days of storms, which is unusual for here. Started several fires too. I may just have to do that trip some day.

You have more entry options from that side.

I did not have to contend with bugs much...just an occasional skeeter. No deer fly's at all...and most thankful there were none of those giant mutant sparrow sized horse fly's.
