I just got back from a 10 day kayak trip we were all a little unprepaired for the cold temps the first few nights. Since my buddy upgreaded to a sleeping bag from the wool blanket he was going to use(tent) I got to use it for a pad in my HH it was one of the trama / shock blankets cops have he got it at vallue village for $4! Worked great under me in the hamock, since it doesn't compress it was very warm untill the temps come up to 15• from 6• over night.
