I have a BA sleeping bag that is their semi-rectangular shape and I want to try to attach it as an UQ without significantly modifying the bag.
Since the BA bags have pad sleeve on the bottom, I can cut slots in the fabric for shock cord without damaging the synthetic insulation.
Q1. Do I need to reinforce the fabric at the slots I cut to prevent them from being extended/lengthened by the weight of the bag?
Q2: How do I attach the shock cord to the hammock? I was thinking of sewing loops on to the side of hammock and using mini-biners.
Q3: I was hoping to get away with four attachment cords. Does that number of cords seem realistic?
Someday, I will buy a JRB MT Wash UQ but many pennies still need to be saved...
