    Anyone using RSS?

The HF forums FAQ lists a couple of RSS feed URLs. My RSS readers come up with nuthin' subscribing to them, one of them is helpful enough to offer to validate them using this site, and it moans loudly when presented with the feeds the FAQ identifies

    http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/e...l.php?type=rss
    http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/e....php?type=rss2

It validates other feeds that the readers have built-in.

I'm not a frequent user of RSS, so there is a very real chance of user error here. Anyone out there having success with RSS, and if so, how?

    Rss

It's an automatic feed to your computer from a site when something is posted. Usually you'd set it up using IE or Firefox.

rss is something like remote site syndication

means you can get short new updates easily, i use http://popurls.com or http://reader.google.com so i can keep up w/ the information overloads...

and it's not you the rss link is broken, probably a vbulletin plug in required to make it work i would guess...

I use RSS incessantly...almost to addiction level. It isn't you, the feeds on this site do not validate properly.

It's one of the things where 'if you have to ask' it's not for you.

Not if you actually enjoy reading feeds. There are a bunch of really good standalone feed readers with featuresets that browsers can't match. Most of them are OSX specific, though.

Nope, it's built right in to vbulletin. It may not be enabled on this site, though.

If an admin is reading this and knows that it isn't enabled, here's how:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> External Data Provider -> Enable RSS Syndication -> Yes
