Is that why Alcoa built all those power producing Dams here in NC? Interesting.

Nice to see some old ideas come to fruition.
I'll have to get some when they go into production.

Let's not drift too far afield here gents. Dutch isn't refining the aluminum himself...

Has anyone implemented any alternative uses for these yet?

Yes, and now economic conditions have compelled them to close the plant and plan for it's demolition. The governor wants to seize the dams, so that NC, and not Alcoa, can sell the electricity.

I drove by there on Monday. There is only a skeleton crew at the Badin Works.

However, aluminum will be refined at other places, so Dutch Biners will certainly be available. Alcoa Corporate HQ and Dutch are both in PA!

Ok. I think AS wants us to get back to discussing the new Dutch 'biners. I get that distinct impression, anyway...

It is!!!! I see my wife.
    Chores, bills etc ......
But today is staggering around and mumbling about hammocks.
No rest until post Labor Day.
Then the pineys....... with the dutch biners.
Gotta goof with them as I have been thinking of a suspension do-over.
Feel a bit behind the curve as so many hammock bits have hopped ahead.
I'm still on silnylon and happy with it for instance.

Maybe the Dutch biner will create the economic stimulus that our country needs. Can't wait to get my hands on a set. Where do I order them from?

Jacks R Better will be offering them

I tried last night with putting the biner directly on the hugger like Hawk has in the vid only I sewn it real close to hold it there. Then I pulled my whoopie through the othe loop of my 3 foot hugger and just clicked it on the other side. Worked quite well. I made my hugger adjustable to fit a 3 foot hugger on a 4 foot tree. I think I like the Biner better on the hammock end but I still have some experimenting to do with it.

Shug priorities first, wife comes first then piney woods.
